July – Visit Lefkada

This island is very easily accessed from the Greek mainland, as you don’t need a ferry to reach it; you just drive across the 50 m. long swing bridge that connects it to Central Greece. Lefkada’s marina can accommodate all the needs of sailing lovers who wish to explore the island’s coastline and the 24 islets surrounding it. If you’re a windsurfer, Vasiliki beach is the perfect spot for you. Go kite surfing on Myloi beach, near Agios Nikitas village and paragliding over Kathisma beach. Discover the hinterland’s green mountainous traditional villages and enjoy mountain biking and hiking. Feel the atmosphere in the cultural events that take place in Lefkada town and in some of the villages, and savour local products such as top quality lentils from Eglouvi village.
